Mister Lighthouse®, Inc., established in 1999, is the photography of
Ray Elliott. His interest in lighthouses dates back to his early years in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, an area which is home to several beautiful lighthouses. Whether having a picnic on the rocks opposite Nubble Light in York, Maine or fishing near Portsmouth Harbor, Whaleback or White Island Lights, lighthouses were a constant part of the photographer's youth.
The love of lighthouses, coupled with a passion for photography, led to the establishment of Mister Lighthouse®, Inc. Retirement in August, 2001 has allowed Ray to travel extensively, and since that time, he has photographed over 450 lighthouses in the U.S., Canada, Scotland, France, Bermuda and Mexico. Pictures of lighthouses are available for purchase in a variety of size, frame and matte choices.
By the close of 2005, pictures of approximately 500 lighthouses will be available for purchase. Ray's ultimate goal is to photograph over 600 lighthouses around the world, with extensive coverage in the U.S. and Canada plus selected sites in the British Isles, France, Spain, Gemany, New Zealand and Australia.
